Our commitment
Bindly Health is committed to making bindlyhealth.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and work continuously to improve.
Conformance status
Our target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance. We test new pages against this standard and audit existing pages on a quarterly cycle. Where we know of gaps, we list them below under "Known issues" and work to close them.
What we do
- Design for keyboard navigation — every interactive control is reachable and operable without a mouse.
- Provide a "Skip to main content" link on every page (WCAG 2.4.1) so keyboard users can bypass the header and jump to the page content.
- Provide visible focus indicators that meet 3:1 contrast against the background (WCAG 2.4.7 + 1.4.11).
- Maintain a minimum 4.5:1 text contrast ratio against the background (WCAG 1.4.3 at AA).
- Provide alt text on meaningful images and treat decorative imagery accordingly.
- Use semantic HTML — headings, landmarks, lists, and form labels are real, not visual approximations.
- Announce form errors and dynamic content updates to screen readers.
- Test on common screen readers (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, NVDA on Windows, TalkBack on Android).
- Run automated checks (axe-core, Lighthouse) on every deploy and manual checks on major changes.
Known issues
We're honest about what we're still working on. As of May 23, 2026 we are actively improving:
- Embedded third-party content. The quoting experience may include content rendered by a third-party platform (e.g., HealthSherpa One). We work with our partners on accessibility but cannot guarantee third-party experiences meet WCAG AA. If you encounter a barrier inside a third-party flow, contact us and we'll help you complete the task by another channel.
- Non-English content. The site is currently published in English. We offer phone-based assistance in Spanish during business hours (see footer) and are actively working on full Spanish-language pages.
Alternative access channels
If any part of the site is difficult to use, you can always reach us by phone or email for help with any task you can do on the site — getting a quote, asking benefit questions, filing a claim issue, or managing your account. Contact details are in the footer of every page.
Report an accessibility issue
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on bindlyhealth.com, please tell us so we can fix it. Email accessibility@bindlyhealth.com or call the number in the footer. Please include:
- The page URL where you encountered the issue
- A brief description of the problem
- Your operating system, browser, and any assistive technology you use
We acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and aim to resolve them within thirty days.
Compatibility
bindlyhealth.com is designed to be compatible with the current and previous major versions of common browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari) and with common assistive technologies. Older browsers may receive a degraded experience.
Methodology
We test using a combination of automated tools (axe-core, Lighthouse, WAVE) and manual checks with screen readers and keyboard-only navigation. We also welcome user feedback as a core part of our methodology — the strongest accessibility signal is from people actually using assistive technology day-to-day.
